We have offices in San Francisco, New York City, Syracuse, and cross-functional team members in 15 states and 5 countries. We run a mixed model — co-located in some geos and distributed in others. The ability to work on and willingness to invest in a team with this structure is important

Humility protects against politics, hubris, and gamesmanship. It means debates are about an idea and not a personality. It's a reminder to be ambitious without losing ourselves. It allows us to change our mind.

Always solve the fundamental problem

Density is a great place for curious people because our product is sprawling — engineering, design, devops, security, sales, manufacturing, machine learning, marketing, supply chain, sales, logistics, etc. There's no shortage of things to learn but knowing what we can ignore is an accumulating advantage.

If we always solve the fundamental problem, we will exceed our ambition.

Seek feedback

A culture of feedback is endlessly useful. It protects our ability to learn, permits constructive critique of the company, and rewards self-awareness and improvement. It admits that teams, products, and companies are always a work in progress.
